“Self-Advocacy Sam”

2025 – A University Project

For this project, I came up with the idea of a theoretical medical self-advocacy app. I wanted the style to be influenced by the early to mid-19th century “rubber hose” cartoon style.

The project was finalised upon completion of various pages I would have featured in the app, a logo and forms of advertising being a poster and pamphlet.

“The Chronically Sick Sunflower Chick”

2025 – A University Project

For this project I wanted to create a comic-book focusing on chronic-illness. It would be narrative-driven in the form of poetry, with the main character being a sunflower. I chose a sunflower as it’s the symbol used with invisible disabilities.

For this I experimented with gelli-plate printing and incorporating various textures. I finished several pages, with the hopes of taking this idea further in the future.

“Learning how to Dance in the Dark”

2025 – A University Project

I was tasked with creating a fold-out zine for this project, focusing on one of three charities. For this, I focused on the relationship between art and dementia for a dementia charity. This was purely traditionally illustrated, using a mixture of watercolours and ink.
